The 2008 Presidential Election is becoming ever more ridiculous. Now Barbra Streisand's 2008 Presidential Election choice is clear. In November she made her approval of Hillary Clinton public. Barbra is a feminist and that's why she'd like to see a female president running the country. Personally, I think anybody who would choose a 2008 Presidential Election candidate based solely on gender or color is revoltingly narrow-minded. Surely we should choose the person we think would do the most good for the country instead of allowing our personal prejudices to dictate our choice.

Britain had a female leader once, and she didn't do feminists any favors. Her name was Margaret Thatcher and she is notorious for making the rich more affluent while working class pensioners froze to death in the winter because they couldn't afford to heat their homes.

I wonder if Barbra Streisand has considered the true implications of having a female President. I'm all for equality between the genders, as are the majority of people in the west. Do leaders in the Middle East have the same enlightened attitude towards women as people in Europe and America? Having a female President in 2008 might do the United States more harm than good.

I don't think it was a wise move on Hillary's part to have Barbra publicly endorse her 2008 Presidential Election campaign. Streisand is so Liberal that even some whose political beliefs are left of center think she's a lunatic. I believe Streisand's endorsement of Clinton will do damage. It will give staunch Conservatives even more ammunition against Hillary Clinton.
