current gas prices

I remember the days when driving anywhere was completely boring. However, current gas prices have turned the drive to grandma's house into quite an adventure. Due to the volatility of current gas prices, driving has become a daily mission impossible. Early in the morning I get on the internet and check the current gas prices on all of my local gas stations. I then proceed to print out schematics of the whole city and find the fastest way to the gas station with the lowest price. In addition, right before getting out, I sign up for a current gas prices text message service for my cell phone, just in case the prices changes and I have to make a violent turn somewhere. So with my cell phone in hand, my city schematics on the passenger seat and my favorite radio show commenting on how 2008 presidential elections  might affect current gas prices, I set out to get the precious nectar of life called gasoline.  While on the road, my cell phone begins to violently vibrate informing me that there is a new lower price somewhere else! At that moment I begin to think that current gas prices are God's way of getting some entertainment for himself out of this whole mess. After a number of brutal turns, I finally end up at the lowest price gas station just to find that I still have to pay over $3 dollars a gallon. Finally, my fuel tank is full, my bank account is empty, I have spent 4 hours looking for the cheapest price and for some reason I have got stuck in my head how the 2008 presidential elections will make current gas prices better for some reason. I need a horse!
