current gas prices

We all know that current gas prices are getting higher and higher and will not likely come down until the run-up to the 2008 presidential election.  That is pretty much a given.

Well, I stopped to get some air into a spare tire I just put on my car and paid $.75 for about 2 minutes of compressed air and I only needed to add air to two tires, so I really got shafted.

I realize that current gas prices are ridiculous, but to pay 75 cents for air is just highway robbery.  See that little air compressor station over to the left?  That is a brand new one that will cost about $760 bucks.  Let's say a station has 5 people that need to get air in their tires a day.  That's $3.75 a day.  In 203 days, you are making a really nifty profit on this little baby, because the electricity to run the compressor is minimal, especially for 2 minutes maximum.

So when we talk about current gas prices being out of line, lets realize that the price of air is getting out there, too.  Get my drift?
