2008 presidential election I want to talk plainly about the 2008 Presidential election.  Based on our last two elections, the 2008 Presidential election is in danger of hijacking again and I'll tell you why.

The General Administrative Office or GAO determined that recent elections have been unaccountable and the methodology of balloting must change.  Congress has the possibility to enact legislation to mandate election processes throughout the country, but so far, has failed to do so.

Do we want the 2008 Presidential election to be a mish-mash of voting machines with no accountability and high probability of malfunction or tampering?  Black Box Voting, an organization begun by a Seattle grandmother and investigative reporter, Bev Harris thinks we can do better.  However to insure the 2008 Presidential election is accountable, we must act now.

Black Box Voting has uncovered huge amounts of fraud and vote tampering in recent elections.  In the 2000 Presidential Election, after much investigation in the state of Florida, it was determined that Al Gore had actually carried the state and not George Bush.

With many of the new touch screen voting machines having no paper audit trail, the possibility of vote manipulation is high and BBV shows it has definitely happened.  If we want to assure the 2008 Presidential election is a true representation of the American electorate, we must act now to change the system.
