The ever changing current gas prices are always on the rise. The energy chief has publicly stated that the high gas prices could last for 3 years. At the same time the energy department released their statement claiming that the already sky high gas prices have actually fallen by 3 cents nationwide. The annual statistics which show the price of gasoline from last year to this year indicates that it is currently 54% higher. With the 2008 presidential election coming up, it would be nice, if at least one of the candidates platforms dealt with this problem.
