Bill O'Reilly's coverage of the run up to the 2008 presidential election irritates me. I watch The O'Reilly factor not because I'm a fan of Bill, but because I have a morbid fascination with his blinkered view of the world. The other night he was ranting about how the New York Times newspaper smeared John McCain with the intention of harming his chances in the 2008 presidential election. Bill accused the New York Times of having an agenda, but he wasn't explicit enough as to what that agenda might be. Of course the New York Times has an agenda. It's obvious that the media and the corporations that own it are doing all that they can to ensure that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. If they can take McCain out of the picture, the Democrats are certain to win because Mike Huckabee is clearly a fanatical idiot.
Whining about the New York Times having an agenda made Bill O'Reilly sound dumb because he was stating the obvious. Fox News clearly has an agenda, too. Fox promotes the causes of the Republicans in the 2008 presidential election. Therefore, O'Reilly's belligerent attitude made him sound like a hypocrite. I would have respected Bill if he had the courage to give explicit details concerning what is really happening and admit that the 2008 presidential election is a farce.
