I find it interesting to watch the 2008 presidential election from a Canadian point of view. I find that the 2008 presidential election is somewhat like one of those TV gossip shows. The media is looking for anything that they can find that will sensationalize the various candidates, and the opinions that they have. The only thing I noticed that bothers me is that it seems that the rules of conduct don't entirely apply if people are talking about Senator Romney. What is politically incorrect to say, is acceptable to say to him and about him. It is considered in bad taste to put down somebody's religion and yet, it is ok to put down the LDS people. How can that be ok? If someone was putting down any other religion they would be in so much trouble. Not only that, I noticed that in the 2008 presidential election coverage they give equal air time to all the candidates except Mr. Romney. You will barely see seconds of him. What's that all about? It seems a little strange to me. What are they afraid of? It shouldn't matter any more if you are an LDS person than if you are a black person or a woman. It should be about who can do the best and most honest job of running the country. I think if the media give the American people access to all the candidates, they will make the right decision for them and their country during the 2008 presidential election.
