It is countdown until the NFL Super Bowl Championship game that will be played on February 3, 2008,  in Glendale, Arizona.  The 18-0 New England Patriots defeated the San Diego Chargers 21-12 on Sunday to play in the championship football game against the unpredictable underdogs--New York Giants.  The general public could only get tickets through random drawings by the league months in advance of the championship football game.  A NFL Super Bowl ticket has an approximate face value of $700.00.  So needless to say, tickets are hard to come by at an affordable price. NFL Super Bowl tickets are big business.  A group of four third-row tickets on the 50-yard line behind the Patriots bench were going for $36,000, and eight skybox tickets were being offered for sale on e-bay for $99,000.  Some people will pay anything to be part of the excitement in Arizona at the NFL Super Bowl Championship game.

A player for the New York Giants will receive two free tickets and can purchase up to 13 more for the face value of $700.00 a piece according to the team's spokesman, Peter John-Baptiste.  The NFL forbids the players selling the tickets for a profit.  A former coach Mike Tice of the Minnesota Vikings received $100,000 in fines after he was caught scalping some of his allotment of Super Bowl tickets.  So it just does not pay to scalp your tickets, even though the money is tempting.   If you cannot afford to go to the game, you still can enjoy the game on tv and many other pre-championship football game events.  The NFL Super Bowl game between the New York Giants and the undefeated New England Patriots in Arizona is just 11 days away!
