My Husband Has a Sinister Theory Concerning Current Gas Prices |

My husband enjoys the countryside and has never been a person who could remain in a city for too long. He values his freedom above all. He also has an unusual perspective when it comes to current gas prices. My husband thinks that current gas prices are part of a government conspiracy that aims to make us all move into cities and live like caged rats. He is of the opinion that if we all live in cities it will be easier for the government to control us. Do I agree with my husband’s interpretation of current gas prices? I think my husband can be quite dramatic when it comes to politics and conspiracy theories. Nevertheless, I still believe that anything is possible. I have read George Orwell’s renowned novel 1984. I’ve also read Aldus Huxley’s Brave New World. If you have read either of these two novels you might understand why I don’t find my husband’s theory on current gas prices all that far fetched. Similarly, if you have a knowledge of world history you will know what can happen if any government gets too much control over the people.
