If you ask me, current gas prices are ridiculous. Yeah, yeah. Conservative supporters of all this nonsense always talk about how our country has it nice and how Europe's gas is $7 a gallon. Well, you know what? Europe doesn't NEED gas! They're smart enough to figure out alternative methods of transportation, and their public systems of transport are *considerably* way more advanced than what we have here.

I live in Phoenix, and you can't get anywhere without driving. Even with minimal transport, you're still spending $60 a week on gas (that's a full tank). And that's lucky. Many people are getting eaten alive by these current gas prices and spending multiple tanks per week because their job or business requires it. Can you imagine spending $500 per month on gas? That's about only two full tanks per week!

I still can't believe these current gas prices regardless of what anyone says. Four bucks is just insane, and it won't stop either. I remember when the good old Arco by my school was $.99 per gallon and $15 would last me two weeks :).
