Current Gas Prices and the World's Oil

The question on everyone's mind is - are current gas prices going to increase? The answer is probably yes.

In 50 years, the world will be completely devoid of all oil, though chances are that the estimate will probably be a lot sooner. So, whether they increase or not - we have literally a few decades until there will be no more to use regardless. That's a scary thought if you consider the effect of scarcity on products. The less of something there will be, the more it will cost. Therefore, inflation and everything aside - the sheer fact that we are wasting the world's natural oil supply every day implicitly makes the gas prices go up anyway. And then you add inflation, the fact that the dollar is getting ruined by the Euro and so many other factors - I will not be surprised to see gas at European prices in the next 3 years.

The problem is not that current gas prices are going to increase, it is that we are paying for gas in the first place. There are so many hybrid ideas out there that rely on stuff like water or even corn, and yet they get bought out by big shots like GM and never used. Forget about current gas prices and start writing your congressman on that one.

So sad the world we live in.
